The benefits of working through local utilities under local management were demonstrated again this summer in Mali. The Covid-19 crisis as well as a coup d’état did not prevent the team of Yeelen Kura together with supplier Solar23 to complete the commissioning of two solar minigrids.

The two minigrids will each serve a rural village with around 400 connection, bouseholds and businesses, resulting in providing access to renewable energy for 2000 beneficiaries. The two minigrids were made possible through financial support by the European Union
