Minigrid for 450 households and businesses in Contuboel

In 2016 a new minigrid serving around 450 customers in village of Contuboel was put into service, providing access to renewable energy for 2250 beneficiaries. The minigrid also powers a village lighting network benefitting the whole community.

FRES monitors asset utilization and energy use for each of its minigrids for internal monitoring purposes. It is currently transforming its monitoring and evaluation practice to make the impact data publicly accessible via its website from 2022 onwards.
